Bump Under Surface On Tongue, Bleeding, Tongue Split Down Middle. Suggested Biopsy. Anything To Worry?

a tumor like bump was found under the surface of my tongue at the back of my tongue, should I be worried about this , my doctor wants to do a biopsy of it, my tongue just bleeds for no reason, and at first I thought my tongue was split down the middle, because that is where the blood lies, however when the doctor looked at it more closer he says it wasn't split and this is when he saw the lump under the skin, should I be worried
