Burn On The Upper Lop Post Waxing. What Can Speed Up The Healing Process?

I waxed my upper lip yesterday and it burned more than usual. It turns out that the wax was not hot enough, so it stuck to my skin more and when I pulled the wax strip off, a bit of my skin came off as well. It isn t a bad burn, it is just a bit red. I was wondering what I should do to speed up the healing process and how long you think it would take to heal. Also, is it safe to cover with makeup?

Hi,

You have debeloped irritant contact dermatitis due to hot wax.

Apply mild steroid with antibiotic.. Like eumosone G cream.

Take a short course of steroids with antibiotics.

Avoid make up to cover it.

Avoid soap.

Keep the area protected from sun.

Avoid worries.

You may improve in 2 to 3 weeks.

Reddness will go away , but pigmentstion may follow and may remain for few weeks.. No treatment is needed.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
