Burning On Heels, Breathing And Swallowing Difficulty, Muffling In Ears Since Ankle Repair. Allergic To Casting Material?
my mother just had a broken ankle repaired on Friday..on Saturday and Sunday night she complained that her heel feels like it is on fire. She says she isn t hurting from the surgery..that it is the cast that is bothering her. She is complaining of not being able to breathe, or swallow and she says her hearing sounds muffled. She complained of this Sunday night so we called the EMT s..they felt she was just having an anxiety attack. However about 15 years ago she experienced the same burning sensation when she was in a cast..that time she removed the cast herself and her skin was pink..like a sunburn . Is it possible she is allergic to the casting material?
