Burning Sensation In Crotch, Painful, No Sexual Activity, Occurs At Increased Stress Levels. Any Ideas?

I have a burning in my crotch - on the left side - under the skin that is very painful. It often feels like I am being shocked. It is accompanied by a small swollen area than when I press down causes gas to pass or seem to move something around inside... I am concerned! There is no redness or swelling, no sexual activity for over two years, and it also seemed to have occurred at a time when my stress level increased dramatically and significantly.
