Burning Sensation In Stomach. Blood Test Showed Variation In Cholesterol. Is It Due To Food What I Ate?
I m 43 years old. Went to the doctor last week with burning in my stomach. Doctor gave me a pop blood test checked my colesterol my HDL was 57. My LDL was 216. i got very worried when he emailed me the results. My Colesterol has always been normal. Could it have been from what I ate that day? And also not fasting for the blood test?
The fact that the test was not fasting would definitely impact on the result.
You may want to consider repeating them in a fasted state and compare the results.
If they remain abnormal then adjust your diet and increase your physical activity if possible.
Medication would be given based on your level of risk for a cardiovascular event and the level of cholesterol after lifestyle changes are initiated.
I hope this helps
