Burning Sensation In Vagina, Swelling On The Outer Left Side, Herpes. Causes For Symptoms?

The last few days I ve noticed that my vagina was burning not only when I went to the bathroom and wiped but all day and night. I actually was able to look at it and it looks very swollen on the outer left side of my vagina and is swollen it looks like a bump with a cut. But I also have herpes and it doesn t look like an out break. What else could this be?

Hi.You didn't mention whether there was history of trauma to vagina. If at all the swelling is due to trauma,it will subside gradually by Antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs. As Herpetic lesions are viral, they will subside spontaneously. If there is no response with the drugs, consult a Gynaecologist. All the best.
