Burning Sensation On The Leg Followed By A Rash, Swelling At The Contact Point After Working In The Yard. What Could Be The Cause?
Hello, yesterday while working in the yard I felt a burning sensation on my leg. I washed it with water, and the burning became worse. Today, there is a huge rash on my leg, and even a little bit of swelling near the main contact point. I m not sure what it could be caused from, and was wondering if you have any ideas? I live in Southeastern Florida.

I read your mail in detail. The swelling in your leg may be due to insect bite or allergy to the grass present in the yard. I don't know whether you have fever or not, local area temperature raised or not, severity of pain. You have to immediately consult your physician and get a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory, anti allergic if itching is present or advised by your doctor. This may lead to formation of abscess and may need I and D, if you delay it. Consult your doctor ASAP.

hello SharkB, It may be Herpez Zoster which is a viral infection. It spreads very fast around site of infection. It is treated with some anti viral drugs and local ointments at site of infection.You have to visit skin specialist dr(dermatologist).Hope this answered your query. thanx
