Hi, my lips are burning, itchy, red, & just started to swell up around the corners & top of my lips. I did not eat anything that was different from my normal eating habits, I was not in any different area that I don t normally go, there was nothing out of the ordinary of my every day life style so I m not sure what is going on. It has been like this a few months back. I got some Burt Medicated chap stick which helped out well but it s back again just after a few months... should I truly be concerned?
Your symptoms are of allergy to some unidentified factor for which you may have not been allergic tp previously. This can be food item , some physical environmental factor (like air speed and composition, temperature and humidity) or some sort of insect or mosquito bites. Also things like hair dyeing , soaps or face creams can do this.
allergies do not sow consistent behavior at times and you may become allergic to anything in you life which used to be no cause of problem earlier.
So to identify the situation you should get an allergy profiling done which would be able to give you alist of things working as allergans to your body.
To treat yourself you should keep taking over the counter anti-allergic tablets and consult a physician before the problem aggravated to next level and troubles you in your day to day schedule.
hi
the condition your explains seems to be oral ulceration and mucosal sores. mostly it is associated with digestive system disorders. it also resembles to angular stomatitis. there is nothing much serious about that. what i can recommend you is to use some antacid for a duration of week to treat the underlying cause. also use a mouth wash to get rid of superimposed infections. and also apply somogel once daily. hope it well help you
