Hello Doctor, This is Utshek Jain from Mumbai enclosing the CT scan report (PNS limited) below. Kindly tell me whether surgery is required and if yes, please tell me how rigourous will it be. CT PNS (Plain) Findings: Polypoidal mucosal thickening noted in bilateral maxillary, frontal, ethmoid and sphenoid sinuses and in pneumatised left sphenoid recess. There is mucosal thickening in maxillary infundibulum causing partial obliteration of bilateral OMUs (right > left). There is deviation of nasal septum with septal spur and convexity to left. The septal spur is abutting medial wall of maxillary sinus. Normal variant noted in the form of right concha bullosa and interlamellar air cell which show mucosal thickening. Rest of the nasal turbinates in view appear unremarkable. The Crista galli and cribriform plates appear normal. Bilateral optic nerves are normal. Rest of the visualized osseous and soft tissues are normal. Conclusion: Bilateral maxillary, ethmoid, sphenoid and frontal sinusitis with partially obliteration of bilateral OMUs (right > left). Deviation of nasal septum with septal spur and convexity to left. The septal spur is abutting medial wall of maxillary sinus. **End Of Report**
Hi, it appears that you have deviated nasal septum, and it led to the rest of the findings, sinusitis, oedema etc. If deviated nasal septum is corrected you will be fine in all respects. So i advise you to approach the E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment, and surgery. Thank you.

Hi, it appears that you have deviated nasal septum, and it led to the rest of the findings, sinusitis, oedema etc. If deviated nasal septum is corrected you will be fine in all respects. So i advise you to approach the E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment, and surgery. Thank you.
