Cactus Thorn Stuck In The Throat. Having Slight Discomfort. Anything Can Be Done?
Yesterday I ate a cactus pear and I believe i have a tiny thorn stuck in the back of my mouth close toward my throat . I tried vinger, drinking water, hot tea, and eating bread. It is not causing any pain but I feel a slight discomfort like it is still in there. Again, nothing major. Is there anythign i should do? Or should i just wait to see what happens? IS there any real threat?

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum
It is very unusual for a soft thorn to get struck in the throat. It could be mild inflammation cause due to trauma while eating the fruit. You can wait and watch for a couple of days. Try drinking plenty of warm water. Even after that, if the throat discomfort persists, it is better to consult an ENT specialist for a thorough evaluation of the throat.
