Came Off Microgynon. Want To Have Baby. Started A New Packet. Now Have Stomach Cramps, Moody, Sick. Pregnancy Test Is Negative. Chances Of Conceiving?
Hi I have recently come off microgynon as my boyfriend and I really want to start trying for a baby. I had my last withdrawal bleed on 3/10 I then started my new packet on the 7/10 but only took it for 4 days as we decided it was the right time to start trying. Since then I have had very bad stomach cramps, feeling moody, feeling sick, and getting bad headaches. I haven't had another bleed yet which I was quite surprised about as it is now 4/11. I took a pregnancy test 31/10 which was negative. Just very confused.
Hi and thanks for the query, It is not unusual to experience such manfistations as one goes off hormonal therapy. Most of the time, withdrawal bleeding is usually seen, but not in all patients. It is not excluded that this could be a pregnancy. However, it is more reasonable and realistic to be a bit patient. In case you do not see your periods by the end of the 28th day, depending on the regularity of your cycle, you might then have to do a pregnancy test. for now, I believe you just need to be patient, as irregularities in the cycle or not rare in hormone withdrawal. Kind regards.
