Can 65-year-old Lady Suffering From Osteoporosis Recover From Hip Surgery?

my mother's age is 65 plus, last 6 years she is having osteoporosis and she is on bed for last 4 years and need a help to move, 2 days back she fall down from cot and broken her hip joint, doctor suggesting for major surgery, my question is that can she recover?
