Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear Sir/ Madam
Thanks for your query.
If your pumping of heart (ejection fraction) is 20%, any episode of AF with heart rate of 175 beats per minute may cause very low output from heart. It may go so low that brain may not receive adequate blood supply. In such a scenario there may be altered consciousness, altered level of alertness or altered thought process may occur. A patient may even have loss of consciousness. Hence you need to discuss with your cardiologist, the ways to reduce the episodes of AF.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
