Can Abilify And Lexapro Be Taken Together?

hello Dr Andrew, are there any major concerns with taking these two drugs? Abilify and Lexapro? I am already taking Lithium (very low dose), magnesium and SamE. my body tends to be quite sensitive to most medications. they have prescribed a very low dose lexapro 5mg and abilify 2.5mg. should i be concerned?

Hi,

Abilify and Lexapro are from different groups and if needed can be used together.

Abilify is antipsychotic and Lexapro is antidepressant, psychiatrists many time combine these two drugs if needed, so if you have been prescribed them together, we don't see any major concern for using them both.
