Can Acitrom For DVT Be Stopped Safely?

sir i am patient of dvt. i got this problem after 20 days of surgerian on dated 27 august 2008. i was taking asitrom 2mg and 3mg alternative days. now as i was feeling better so my doctor stopped the treatment six months before. sir is there any risk to stop the medicine?

Asitrom is an anticoagulant which is being given for DVT (deep vein thrombosis) of legs.This should be taken under physician's supervision. So far there is no known drug which can give guarantee against its reoccurrence.
