Can Advil Be Taken With Tylenol?

I had a tooth removed and a deep filling done on the tooth beside it. I am in great pain. The hole looks clean, red, but has white stuff. Is this normal? Is there a rinse I can do that will numb the area and take away the pain. Tylenol and advil are not doing it. I have Tylenol 3 , will try that tonight. Can I take advil with the Tylenol 3?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain the pain can be originating from the extraction socket or the deeply filled tooth, so the first thing that is needed is that you should consult your dentist and get evaluated and get ruled out for the exact cause of pain..

As you told that there is white stuff in the extraction socket it seems that there is healing tissue present in the socket and healing is going on well.
The pain can also be originating from the tooth that is filled in case if during filling the nerves are exposed which might be getting irritated and inflamed and causing pain..

Nothing to worry as it can be treated..
Consult an oral physician and get evaluated ad get treated according to the cause..

As far as painkillers are concerned if the pain is severe Advil ad tylenol will not give complete relief..
You can take TRAMADOL 50 mg thrice a day as it controls moderate to severe pain..

But permanent relief can be achieved only after ruling out the cause and treating it..

Hope this information helps..
