Can Althea Contraceptive Pills Be Taken Without Doctor S Prescription?

Hi doctor can i used althea contraceptive pills without doctor prescription? Im married but he is working abroad so it means that im not active in sex. I just want to take althea pills cause it makes my pimples treated and its good cause its making my skin smooth. My 1st contraceptive pills is dianne (i used it without doctor prescription) then i switch to althea. Then i stop taking pills and my skin in face got worse because of acne and pimples. Is it safe to take althea again? Is there will be no problem if i stop taking althea and we plan to have a baby? Thanks in advance! God bless.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You can use the althea to help with your skin. When you are ready to conceive, you can simply stop them. Some women can conceive with only 1 missed day and others can take a longer period of time, it varies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
