Can Althea Pills Be Resumed With Consulting A Doctor?

My obgyn prescribed me althea for 6 months for my pcos. I took it for 3 months ( i guess) then i stopped. Now, i want to take it again. May i know if i can continously take it again for 6 months or just for 3 months only for that i already have it 3 months ago? Can i do that without consulting my ob?

Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it's better to get it reviewed before resuming however if tolerance is assured, you can start it before the appointment for symptomatic relief.

However, it's better to wait until then. Duration would be six months again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
