Hi, Thank you for asking First of all I m so sorry for what has happened. Ambien just like other drugs: Xanax, Lunesta, Klonopin etc.part of family of benzodiazepines, can cause aggressive behaviour. Physical aggressiveness, rapes, impulsive decision making and violence have been reported, also autoaggressiveness and suicide. Maybe you have experienced a temporary psychosis due to this medication that led to this episode of violence. I m so sorry that the doctor and your lawyer had not managed to convince the judge and jury that the Ambien could have caused or contributed to your amnesia, temporary psychosis and violence.
