Can Amoxicillin-Potassium Clavulanate And Oxycodone Be Taken Together?
I have perforated ear drum that s bled, painful & itchy. I was prescribed amoxicillin-pot clavul875-125. I m currently traveling on business and have some of my oxycodone from my recent knee surgery. I m wondering if it s safe to take the 2 together so I can get some relief? Also, is there anything else that I should be aware of as my head is clogged (of course) and I feel like there s still drainage. Fyi I m a healthy active 56 year old woman.
These two medications can be taken together since there is no scientific evidence that some interactions or serious side effects exist.
So if there is medical indication then it can be taken just be sure to take it in the recommended dosage. Also, you must be sure that you are not allergic to any ingredient of these drugs. If you start to feel any signs such as breathing difficulties or rash, you should stop medications and see the doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
