Can Arimidex Be Discontinued For A Short Duration?

I had a little problem in taking my arimedex so I informed my specialist about it. She prescribed a medicine call APO Exemestane.. I noticed that there are so many adverse effectfor taking this medicines. I might as well stop taking this tablets and wait for another 6 weeks so I can resume taking Arimedex again which is always the same as the APO. It s her suggestion if I wanted to take time off for six weeks then I can always resume again in taking them .. Is that possible?
