Can Atorvastatin Cause Diarrhea And Stomach Pain?

Can Atorvastatin cause diarreah and stomach pain? Ive always had high cholesterol but no problems of tryclicerious. The good cholesterol is also high. However, the total is 329. Can someone never have a heart attack of serious heart problems with this high cholesterol? I always feel pretty healthy and I m afraid if I take this medicine the cure might be worse than the condition. I know a man that will be 105 years old in April and has always had cholesterol of 300 or more. Thank you.
