Can Ayurveda Improve Irregular Periods ?

Hi, I have been having irregular periods since my teenage[13]. My doctor suggested me that it is quite common in teenagers and would correct by itself after 17 or 18 years of age, which did not happen.I didn t not undergo any medication during that period. Now,I usually have my periods with a gap of 45 days[30 rarely]. I recently met a gynec and also underwent Thyroid and Ultrasonic pelvis test. Thyroid is normal, whereas the person who did ultrasonic test told me that light follicles are visible in scan. The doctor suggested me to use Hyponidd and Benforce M for 3 months with 1 tablet each post the lunch and post the dinner. Below are my details: Age: 25 , Height: 5 4 , Weight: 55 , Haemoglobin level: 12 . Additionally, I am pure vegetarian, non-smoker & non-drinker. My questions: 1. Do I really need to consume these tablets. Or can I solve it naturally with regular physical excercise like yoga and nutritious food? 2. Is it safe to use these medicines. I saw Hyponidd is ayurvedic . Does it or Benforce M have side-effects now or in future for pregnancy , etc,. How effective will these medicines be. 3. Will the irregularity revert once I stop using these medicines. 4. Does Ayurvedic or Homeopathy medicines give permanent solution, instead. I thank heartfully to the moderator for this discussion forum and for answering our questions very patiently.

You probably have PCOD which is why Benforce M is given. It is to control blood sugar because you will be diabetic if you have PCOD. PCOD causes increased weight gain, diabetes, irregular cycles. Even if ultrasound is normal PCOD can be there with hormone disturbance. You need to avoid eating sweet, fatty, fried, junk food. Eat more fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Do daily brisk walking because exercise can nearly cure this problem. Once blood sugar and hormones are coming to normal you can try for a baby.
