Can BCAAs, CLA And Casein Be Taken With Lamictal?

I was just diagnosed with epilepsy. I m only 21 and before this point, I was incredibly active in the gym. with that came taking supplements like protein. I want to be able to continue my weightlifting to competition level. So I was wondering if things like BCAAs, CLA, casein, or other fat burners would counter my medication (lamictol). I ve only had 2 seizures, 2 months apart with the last one being in April.

Hello,

You may take BCAA's, CLA but the amino acid may decrease the absorption of Lamictal so better to don't take with protein supplements. Be careful while lifting weights because of possibility of trauma if you get seizures. So please keep a coach or trainer.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
