Can Benedryl Be Taken For Severe Cough And Nasal Congestion?

I was diagnosed with a sinus infection today & started taking a z pack. I am coughing and choking horribly due to post nasal drip. What can I take so I can stop coughing & sleep? I have several over the counter meds at home & I m thinking of taking benedryl. What do you think I should take?

Cough and Nasal congestion by mucous can have many cauaes and you need to eliminate them so as to get relieved from the problem completely. However, Yes you may take it to relieve your throat from mucous and cough.
