Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had numbness in left leg ever since spinal surgery in 2013 - surgeon says it is nerve damage. It is very problematic -- it seems it has a life of its own -- never know how it is going to act in any given day. Sometimes in the morning the foot twists by itself and hurts; have to wait until the muscles relax before I can walk -- this is only one unusual thing that happens. I need to walk with a cane because of my unbalance and my severe disc degeneration and stenosis. Can botox injections help?
hi sir/madam,actually its nerve injury thats causing numbness.botox cant help your numbness in anyway.regeneration of nerve depends upon the degree of nerve injury and usually takes weeks to months.but if the damage is severe, complete regeneration may not occur.thank you.bye.take care.
