Can Budesal Be Given With Teddy Cough For Dry Cough?

My Son he is 5.10 yrs old, has dry cough since last two days was given teddy cough and alaspan syrup. We were asked to give 5ml. But now today morning he had continuous cough so took him to pediatrician and he suggested budesal(0.5g). Let us know should we go ahead with budesal(0.5g) or wait as he has also increased the quantity of teddy cough from 5ml to 7.5ml may be due to his weight is more than 20kg.
