Can Buscopan Be Replaced With Duspatalin?

Hi, I ve been having abdominal pains for the 2 weeks now. I would normally feel the need to frequently visit the bathroom (at least 4x). My stool is normally soft. I have IBS and have had colitis also. My doctor said my intestines now are inflammed and couldnt give me antibiotic since I just finished taking cefixime for 1 week. He instead gave me dolcet, buscopan, another med for my stool to be formed. He said I am having gastritis. My question is it possible to replace buscopan with dusptalin? What are the food that should be avoided. Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, you can replace Buscopan with Duspatalin. I suggest you to avoid spicy food, caffeine, and alcohol. Some other foods to avoid are:
- Fried foods
- Beans and legumes
- Gluten
- Processed foods
- Sugar-free sweeteners

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
