Can Butalbital Be Taken Along With Advil For Severe Headache?
Hello Dr. Rynne: My son has a really bad headache and I gave him 3 advil and it didn t help. I just remembered he has a prescription for butalbital - apap- caff50=35=40 for a concussion he had in the fall. Can I give him one of them or will that combination be dangerous for his liver? Barbara

I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned when was the prescription given for the fall history if this is not recently then no need to give that medicine again, you have not mentioned the age of your son, it is better to investigate the headache if this is not responding to analgesic, hope this information helps, take care.
