Can Calcirol Be Given For Infants?

Can calcirol sachet be given to a baby who is 5 1/2 Mths old right now. This was suggested by a Friend to b given when the child is 4 Mths old( for 4 Mths , once a mth) so her teething is smooth . Apart from tat she has also been prescribed Vitamin D ( Kidrich) can I continue giving calcirol for next two much. Her vitamin d levels will not increase. Pls suggest

Hello,

If your baby is already taking vitamin D regularly, he does not need to have Calcirol as this is vitamin D as well. If you give both he risks vitamin D overdose.
