Can Celecoxib Be Taken While On Amlodipine And Hydrochlorothiazide?

Hello, I am a woman of 65 years in good health and medication for hypertension (on daily: Quinapril 40 mg, Amlodipine 5mg and Hydrochlothiaizde 12.5mg). My last BP was 120/65. I am also on thryoxine (daily 100mcgm). Over the past few weeks i developed a rather severe pain in my right elbow area following kitchen hard work! I was advised to take Celecoxib 200mg. Is there any danger of interaction or contraindication? Thank you Hanan

Your history has been noted. Celecoxib can interact with your regular medication, so it is better to avoid taking that. I would suggest tab Naproxyn 500mg once a day for severe pain, otherwise tab Dolo 650mg is safe for mild to moderate pain.
