Can Cholestyramine Cause Double Vision, Headache And Watery Eyes?
2 months ago I had a cataract removed in left eye. I ended up with double vision, headaches, watery eyes, etc. had mri done, normal, myasthenia gravis test, normal, went to see neural surgeon, normal....went to eye specialist, he can t give answers. the only medication I take is chollestyramine, once in am, minute amt. the specialist said that maybe the cholestyramine could be the cause..i do not take any other meducatin, no allergies, could this medication be the cause of my double vision, headache, etc???? than u, carmi

Cholestyramine is a bile acid binding resin commonly prescribed to treat high blood cholesterol and other conditions. Its common side effects include stomach upset, bloating sensation, constipation, increase loss of fat in the stool and deficiencies of fat soluble vitamins. It is not known to cause double vision, headache or watery eyes.
