Can Cipro Be Taken If Poked Hand With A Hot Wire And It Is Swollen?

my husband is a welder and poked his hand with a hot wire thru his thick glove yesterday - its swelled up today. our dr is out of the office today so we were wondering if he should take some cipro we had from something else. we have an appt w/ our dr tomorrow for something else, but he plays guitar in a band tomorrow night and don't want it to be swollen

HI. Surely yes.
500 mg twice daily.
It is better to take a shot of tetanus and ad on anti-inflammatory medicines if you have at home.
Elevate the hand above heart level in a lying down position so that edema will settle fast, as is the pain.
