Hi,

Clofert 50 mg contains clomiphene that is used in the treatment of female infertility and sometimes male infertility. Some of the clinical studies reviewed demonstrated a moderate improvement in sperm count in males with low sperm count, unexplained infertility and normal to below average sperm motility as well as shape. A doctor is the best judge to select the best medication for his or her patient.

After assessing you, your doctor has decided that the Clofert 50 will be the best medication for your infertility, so you should follow your doctor's treatment protocol and take this medication in the dose and duration as directed by your physician. It may cause nausea, vomiting, bloating, headache, weight gain, flushing, breast pain and tenderness, trouble sleeping, blurred vision, difficulty in breathing, abdominal pain, anxiety, nervousness etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Hello,

You have been planning for a child since last one month. You are suggested to stay together with your partner. Infertility treatment is ideally started if a women fails to conceive after the couple tries for baby continuously for 2-3 years. You are married since one year and have been trying for baby since a month so you should not worry. Both of you should improve your nutrition and diet, exercise and do walking, do not get overweight.

You can take nutritional supplements that can help to increase the sperm count like meat, poultry, dairy, fish, nuts, vitamin C and zinc supplements. Take fruits and veggies. Take adequate amount of minerals and iron in your daily diet. Do not take processed food (veg or non -veg), trans fats, soy products, pesticides and bisphenol a (BPA) present in canned food or soft drinks, Chinese food, msg, do not smoke, avoid alcohol and addictions if any.

Clomiphene citrate is given as a fertility treatment to both men and women, the doses are different. In both men and women, Clomid binds to receptors in the brain to increase the production of follicle stimulating hormone, FSH, and luteinizing hormone, LH. In women, FSH and LH induce egg development and ovulation.

In men, FSH leads to an increase in sperm production and LH leads to an increase in testosterone production. Yes, the medicines do have side effects like dizziness, tiredness, lightheadedness, nausea, bloating, etc. You are suggested to take food good to increase testosterone level and stay away from stress, anxiety and tensions (both the partner).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
