Can Clonidine Used In Conjunction With Subutex To Lower The Dose?

Hi, I am on Subutex for opiate dependance after being on pain meds for an extended period of time. I really want to speed up the taper and heard that clonodine can be used in conjunction with subutex to lower the dose quicker. Can you tell me anything about this?

Hello,

It is possible to use subutex and Clonidine for detoxification of opioids but you have to discuss with your doctor about doses and duration of treatment.
