Can Codeine Be Taken For Body Ache And Fever?

Hi, I became poorly Monday evening with chills, then came fever, my body aches, I m struggling to get any sleep, even though I ve spent the last 3 days in bed. I have runny nose and a bit of a chesty cough, I now have a stiff neck and a headache. I have no appetite, I m just fed up with it. I m taking paracetamol with a decongestant in. Can I take codeine? Will it help with the constant aches?

Hello

No codeine will not help much although it will reduce your cough , however i would recommend that you do not take it. Please meet your doctor , you are having typical symptoms of flu , he will examine you and prescribe the necessary medications. please dont delay and meet him soon.
