Can Coliza Drops Help A Newborn Baby With Constipation?

My baby is about 23days old and is not pooping for 5days.. today she was crying a lot. Doctor has prescribed coliza drop.. now she has stopped crying but will this medicine helps in pooping?? Otherwise plz suggest something so that my baby starts pooping normally
