Can Crestor Withdrawal Cause Memory Loss?

Hello, I was put on effient a year ago after heart attack and having a medicated stent put in. Weaned myself off Crestor because of pain , fatigue , and complete memory loss . Wake up everyday with bruises with absolutely no incident. Exercise and have excellent diet. But still feel extremely tired and have headache pain and intermittent discomfort on sides of torso and back. Want to stop taking Effient.

Hello,

Crestor may cause some degree of cognitive impairment that should improve after stopping it.

Effient may cause your other symptoms, but, the decision to stop it you should take after discussing with your Doctor.

For example, you may be put on aspirin if your Doctor thinks that you may stop Effient.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Erion Spaho, Neurologist, Surgical
