Can Cyclogest, Duphaston And Gravibinan Be Taken Together?
Hi I have 17 week pregnancy, its precious one, I am on cyclogest 400mg twice a day, duphaston 10 mg twice a day and Gravibinan inj weekly. My question is, is it safe to have multiple forms of progesterone as I am suffering from severe gastric, bloating.
I guess that you have low levels of progesterone produced by placenta and risk of miscarriage is high, so you need to take synthetic Progesterone (PG) to rich normal PG levels in normal pregnancies.
Increased levels of progesterone during pregnancy can lead to constipation. This occurs because progesterone relaxes smooth muscles such as that of the intestines and this slows down the passage of food through the intestines. There are decreased bowel contractions needed to allow the passage of food, fluids and wastes.
I recommend you to drink more than 8 glasses of water per day, eat food rich in fibers, eat lots of fruit and vegetables dried plump especially and do physical activity as recommended by obs gyne.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
