Can Dicyclomine-20mg Be Taken For Severe Lower Back And Abdominal Cramps?

I am 1600 miles from home and won t be able to see my own doctor until Tuesday. I have been having increasingly severe lower abdominal cramps. A close friend had the same symptoms and was diagnosed with IBS. She has a prescription for dicyclomine 20mg. I really need some relief. What do you think?

welcome to health care magic,

I can certainly understtand your concern towards your severe low back and abdominal cramps, but I would like to know whether you have any IBS symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation,altered bowel habbits,and bloating sensation, however you can take dicyclomine -20 mg safely as it is advisable,but if you have any symptoms suggestive of IBS,,in addition you have to take some tricyclic antidepressants like imipramine or amitryptiline you can consult your doctor on tuesday, nothing to worry, till then you can use it.
