hi mam/sir,hair loss or thinning of hair is one of the known side effects of diltiazem.this may be rare.i can understand the distress you are experiencing.many of my patients got promising results with the following therapy:
1)tab.trichoton twice daily for atleast 6 months.
2)if the above drug is not available,tab.bio-HGF also is very good and must be used twice daily for atleast 3 months.
3)stress factors must be avoided and adequate sleep is to be ensured.
4)balanced diet with good amount of proteins.
5)regular exercise.
6)diabetes if any, must be under control.
one more important thing is if you had recovered recently from any illness like typhoid fever, jaundice, hair loss is common until 3 weeks.so dont worry and with the above measures, hair loss can be controlled upto 98-99%.hope my clarification relives your anxiety.any other health issues, kindly let me know.i would be happy to be of any help to you.thank you.take care.bye.
