Can Dronis Be Taken While Trying To Conceive?

Hi i am 24 and married for 6 months now and have been recently diagonsed with pcos . My doctor first gave me meprate to have for 3 days and after that i got my period on 24 august .. Now she has prescribe me with dronis 20 for 24 days . Is it ok to have dronis . I want to conceive next year.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Dronis is a brand name of "Ethinylestradiol" and "Drospirenone", it is used for the treatment of PCOS and it is meant to regularize menstruation. But this is a contraceptive too and thus you won't get pregnant while you are on Dronis. You can stop Dronis once periods are normalized and try to conceive.
