Can Dubagest Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Hi , I am 7weeks 5days pregnant , since 2 days i had bleeding not much. I had visited doctor. She suggested for immediate scan. Fetus was fine. heart beat of fetus is 160bpm. But i had minimal perisacal collection. Seen during ultra sonography. Doctor prescribed Dubagest-200 (morning and night ) after food. Along with folic acid. I am 26yrs old. This is my first pregnancy. Didnt had nay miscarriages. Is it safe to have Dubagest-200 twice daily ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Yes dubagest is safe during pregnancy. It contain progesterone and support the growing pregnancy. It should be used to prevent the miscarriage and maintain the healthy pregnancy. It does not affect the pregnancy. So it should be given in history of bleeding during pregnancy as it is high risk of miscarriage and low progesterone.
Folic acid also help in development and growth of fetus.
Frequent follow up with USG scan should be done to monitor the growth of fetus.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
