Can Duphaston Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Hi, when to my ob gyn today for my first check up. I m 5 weeks pregnant and experiencing cramps every now and then, but no bleeding. He prescribe duphaston 2x/day. Is it really safe to take it? I ve been reading bad things about it. That s why I m a bit sceptical to take the medicine. This will be my first pregnancy as well.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the pregnancy then better not to take any medicine particularly in first trimester, more such cramp could be nonspecific one and may not need any treatment but take care in diet, and drinking water, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
