General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I understand your concern and here is my advice. Heavy menstrual bleeding can be due to hormonal imbalance, adenomyosis/fibroid, polyp, cervix and endometrium dysplasia, endometriosis. I would suggest to go for reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan, PAP smear/colposcopy and endometrial biopsy if needed.

Specific treatment will depend on the cause. You can take dupahston under the advise of gynecologist. You can also ask for tranexemic acid to reduce the bleeding. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene, eat healthy diet with iron supplements, drink plenty of water and avoid stress.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
