Can Duphaston Be Taken To Induce Periods?

Helo.Dr im25 year s married women having 3 years baby girl I had my periods on January 5- 2015 now it s march17 I m not getting periods I did my pregnancy test every month till now I did test for 4 times Can I take duphaston 10 mg tablet? How to take it?n how many days should I take?

You can take Duphaston tablet 10 mg for 10 days once daily, you should get your periods within 7-10 days of taking the last dosage. Duphaston acts like progesterone and therefore thickens the lining of the uterus. Taking the drug ensures that the endometrium of the uterus is built up enough to be shed, and consequently, when hormones shift after ovulation, bleeding is more likely. More so Duphaston is safe to use while trying to get pregnant because it is designed to mimic a natural hormone that is necessary for a healthy uterine lining. It is often prescribed as a treatment for infertility caused by menstrual irregularity or insufficient buildup of the endometrium. Its ability to keep the endometrium thick has led to its use for the prevention of miscarriage.

You should get a period within a week of stopping this medication.

Duvadilan r 40mg is another good tablet for inducing periods.

Rest drink water alot and avoid stress and late night work.
