hello my wife has copd and takes the following items ventalin spirevia seratide slo phylin capsules for lunga and allendronic tabs for bones my question is can she take a herb called elecampane as I understand this supposed to be very good for helping to cure her coughing thanks brian

I can understand your wife's situation.
Yes she can take elecampane along with other drugs for COPD.
I advice her to follow below mentioned steps along with inhaled drugs for better symptomatic relief.
1. Enroll herself in pulmonary rehabilitation center where chest physiotherapy and deep breathing exercise are done. These will improve her lung functions and give her symptomatic relief.
2. Vaccinate herself with adult respiratory vaccines like pneumococcal and influenza to prevent future respiratory tract infection and exacerbation.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. And yes she can take elecampane.
