I have new born baby of 2months.He didnt cry immediatly after birth.According to docter he had Sever birth asphyxia with Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy with neonatal focal seizures associated with Multiple Infarcts in Fronto parietal region.Meconium aspiration 2.5ml two times daily up to six months. Is it right to give eptoin to such small baby? A docter adviced us to give phenobarbitone instead of eptoin. Please suggest me the correct option

Yes, Eptoin can be given to a 2 months old baby (with history of asphyxia at birth) getting seizures diagnosed & advised by a neurophysician in suitable dosage.
