Can Estrogen Be Taken After Recovering From Endometrial Cancer?

I ve had endometrial cancer(stage 1) and have had a complete hysterectomy. I recently moved and have new doctors. I have hot flashes and my new gynecologist gave me a prescription for estradiol. Myprevious oncologist told me not to take estrogen. Is it safe for me to take an estrogen after having an estrogen sensitive cancer?

Hi I
Thanks for trusting HealthCare magic for your health problems.

If it was estrogen sensitive (estrogen receptor positive) cancer, consumption of estrogen pills is not advisable.
If you are in menopause, Your hot flashes are due to it. Simply take analgesics for it.
If it's necessary to take estrogen pill please consult doctor who had done hysterectomy.

Regards
Dr hiren
