Can Excedrin Be Taken For Sinus Congestion, Fever And Cough?

My 73 yr. old has a deep cough, ache all over, 102.7 fever, no appetite. He went to walk-in clinic yesterday. He was given something called Zpac (started yesterday). He thought it was sinus as his eyes were running, stuffed head (he has a lot of sinus trouble). Today he is much worse. Just lied in bed all day and didn t want to eat or drink. He just took an Excedrin. I m worried his temperature is too high. Thank you.

Hello,

The amount of underlying infection is substantial giving high grade fever.

Excedrin drug can be taken 2 to 3 times a day after meals along with antacid preferably later after 24 hours of intake, if fever persists, you should consult treating physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
